Hyderabad: Aadhaar details coupled with technical evidence enabled the sleuths of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) trace a boy, who went missing from his house at Sriramnagar Colony in Zaheerabad and reunite him with his family after six years.
Kallem Vijay alias Johnson left his home in 2013 when he was 13 years old, without informing anyone in the family. A missing case was registered at Zaheerabad police station based on a complaint lodged by the boy’s mother Kallem Yellamma on July 13, 2015. After two years, the case was transferred to the CID. After taking over the case, CID investigating officer B. James Babu examined witnesses and came to know that Vijay was interested in catering services.
Proceeding with this clue, he examined many catering contractors and in the process James Babu checked for the probability of Aadhaar details of the missing boy. With further technical evidence coupled with field investigation, the boy was traced and reunited with his family, said Govind Singh, CID, Additional Director-General of Police.
He appreciated the efforts of James Babu, Inspector of Police, CID P Harish IT Cell Sub-Inspector of Police, CID and other team members for putting sincere efforts to trace boy.
